The Tradition is the annual celebration of sports in Boston and a fundraising gala unlike any other.
Since 2002, The Sports Museum of New England has been privileged to honor a host of Boston sports legends at the event.

AT FENWAY PARK
The 2004 Boston Red Sox are legends beyond legends. In spring of 2024 I was invited to a twentieth anniversay event honoring the 2004 Red Sox champions.
I still recall being 10 or 12, and having experienced enought trauma from being a Red Sox fan ieven at that age, to remember asking mysellf as I bought baseball cards at the start of the new season:
"I wonder if the man has been born that will lead the Red Sox to the World Series Championship?"
Turns out he had been! It was an honor to paint the great Terry Francona.
